Price
SkillShark is per athlete: $5, $10 or $15 USD a year, in blocks of 25. Draft mode, leaderboards, check-in, the Message Center and Pocket Radar sit on the $10 All-Star plan, so a 60-player tryout with those tools is 60 × $10.
TryoutSheet is free for one tryout of up to 25 players, then one flat price per team per season, whatever the number of players.
Scoring and stations
Both work offline on a phone. SkillShark scores 0–10 ratings and measured values (time, speed, weight, distance) across many sports. TryoutSheet scores 1–5 against the group and measured values, with baseball and softball stations preset and weights you set per station.
Video
SkillShark evaluators can take videos in the app, and All-Star’s Score Overview shows them. TryoutSheet files every clip under the player, station and rep, and keeps it on the player’s profile, in every plan.
Messaging and after tryouts
SkillShark’s Message Center (All-Star) sends placements, and its integrations carry teams into TeamSnap, SportsEngine or TeamLinkt. TryoutSheet sends offer, waitlist and cut emails families answer in one tap, then keeps the roster, attendance and player profiles itself. It has no integrations yet.
