Softball roster template
A one-page team roster with what you actually need at the field: jersey numbers, positions, bats and throws, birth year for age checks, and a parent or guardian with a phone number for every player.
No sign-up, no email. Print as many copies as you need.
| # | Player | Positions | B/T | Birth year | Parent / guardian | Phone | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
What’s on it
- Team, season, head coach, assistants, team manager and home field.
- 16 player rows: number, name, positions, B/T, birth year.
- Parent or guardian, phone and email for each player.
Rather do it on your phone?
TryoutSheet is this sheet on a phone: tap a player’s number, tap a score, film the rep. It works at the field without signal, adds up the stations with your weights, ranks the group, and carries the players you pick into your roster.
How to use it
- Fill it in the day the team is picked, while you have every family’s details from tryouts.
- Keep one copy in the equipment bag and one with the team manager. You’ll want the phone numbers on game day.
- Birth year is there for age-group checks at tournaments; don’t add more personal details than you need.
- Treat the sheet as private: it has kids’ names and parents’ numbers on it. Don’t post photos of it.
Questions
What should be on a baseball or softball roster?
Jersey number, name, positions, bats/throws and an emergency contact for each player, plus the coaches’ contacts. Leagues and tournaments may also ask for birth dates and registration numbers on their own forms.
How many players fit on the template?
16 rows, which covers a typical 11–14 player team with a few extras.
Can the roster come straight from tryouts?
In TryoutSheet the players you pick at tryouts become the team’s roster with their families’ contacts already filled in, and parents keep their own details up to date.
