If you run evaluations for several baseball or softball teams, TryoutSheet gives you one club with every team, its coaches and evaluators, a tryout per team, blind scoring by number and rankings you can explain to parents. It’s built around each team’s own tryout and decisions. If you need to draft hundreds of players across many teams in one go, TeamGenius’s team formation or SkillShark’s draft reports fit that job better.

## One club, every team

Create the club once, then a team for each age group (12U, 14U, U15 or whatever you call them) and a tryout for each team. Invite people as owners, coaches or evaluators; an evaluator can be locked to one station for a tryout.

## Fair, consistent evaluations

Every tryout starts from the same preset stations for its sport, with the weights you set. With blind evaluation on, evaluators see numbers only, and rankings and roster picks hide names until a coach reveals them.

## Answering parents

Rankings show each player’s weighted score and how many stations they were scored at, compare shows players side by side, and decision emails are written kindly and answered in one tap, with a tracker of who has replied.

## Minors’ privacy, handled

A tryout needs only a name, birth date and a parent’s contact. Profiles, clips and school details each need a parent’s consent from an emailed link, logged with the wording. Coach notes and academics stay with the club, families can export or delete a profile, and clips of players who aren’t selected are deleted after the club’s window.

## What TryoutSheet looks like

- Scoring: tap a number, tap a rating. Works without signal. ([screenshot](https://tryoutsheet.com/screens/scoring.jpg): Scoring a station on a phone: tap a player number, tap a 1–5 rating)
- Weighted rankings out of 100, with compare. ([screenshot](https://tryoutsheet.com/screens/rankings.jpg): Weighted tryout rankings with scores out of 100)
- Draft board: offer, waitlist or cut, then email families. ([screenshot](https://tryoutsheet.com/screens/decisions.jpg): Draft board with offer, waitlist and cut buttons)
- The player’s profile: baseball, school details, measurables, clips. ([screenshot](https://tryoutsheet.com/screens/profile.jpg): Player profile with positions, bats and throws, and grad year)

## Where TryoutSheet falls short

- No multi-team draft: each tryout belongs to one team, with its own draft board and decisions.
- Priced per team (plan not priced yet); a league with many teams should email hello@tryoutsheet.com first.
- No registration payments, schedules, integrations or API.
- Baseball and softball only.

## When to pick something else

**TeamGenius**, if:

- You place hundreds of players across many teams and want team formation and live drafting.
- You need multi-branch governance or an API (Elite).

**SkillShark**, if:

- You want tiered draft reports and draft mode across groups, priced per athlete.
- Your league runs on TeamSnap, SportsEngine or TeamLinkt.

## After the roster is picked

Once every team has its roster, the league side takes over: schedules, standings, registration and stats. [DugoutHQ](https://dugouthq.com/?utm_source=tryoutsheet&utm_medium=crosspromo&utm_campaign=for-league-directors&utm_content=dugouthq) is league management software that runs that part for baseball and softball leagues, with live scoring and team websites too.

## Questions

### Can evaluators see player names?

Evaluators score by player number and never open profiles. Turn on blind evaluation and the rankings and roster picks hide names too, until a coach reveals them.

### Can every team use the same stations?

Every new tryout starts with the same preset stations for its sport (baseball or softball). Each team can change weights or add its own stations.

### What does it cost for a whole league?

The free plan covers one tryout of 25 players. The team plan will be one flat price per team per season and isn’t priced yet; email hello@tryoutsheet.com to set up a league.
