# Score tryouts from ChatGPT or Claude

Connect TryoutSheet to ChatGPT or Claude and say what you see at the station: “#14, 60-yard 7.2, hitting 4”. It records the scores as you, with your club role, and the rankings update with the same formula as the app.

Add it by URL as a custom connector: in ChatGPT, turn on developer mode in settings and create a connector with this URL; in Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Sign in with your TryoutSheet account when it asks.

## What it does

- **Score at the field.** Ratings from 1 to 5 and measured values (60-yard and pop times, exit, arm and pitching velocity) by tryout number and station name. Reps fill in order, and a whole group goes in one message.
- **Fix a mistake.** Change or clear a score you entered. It shows the old and new value and waits for your yes.
- **Check players in** by number, and see who is still missing.
- **Rankings.** The weighted leaderboard, overall or by station, with coverage, the same numbers as the Rankings screen. Blind tryouts stay blind until a coach asks for names.
- **Coach notes and measurables.** Add a staff-only note to a player, or a measurable from outside the tryout.
- **Roster picks.** Offer, waitlist or cut from chat, then send the decision emails yourself from the Roster & decisions screen. Changing a pick, or a cut, waits for your yes.
- **The season roster.** Jersey numbers, active or inactive, and attendance rates.

## Your club role still applies

- **Evaluators** see the check-in list and stations and score their own station. In a blind tryout they see numbers, not names.
- **Coaches and owners** also see rankings, notes and rosters, and make roster picks.
- It only reaches the clubs where you are staff. Another club’s tryouts, players and scores never show up.

## Built for players who are minors

- It never shows a birth date (age only, as the app does), school details, video or consent records.
- It never sends a family’s contact details; coaches reach families from TryoutSheet itself.
- It never emails or messages a family. Offers and cuts go out when a coach sends them in TryoutSheet.
- Rankings help coaches decide; the coach makes every roster decision. Notes are for what was seen on the field, not health or family details.
- It can’t add or remove players, change consent, publish a profile, or change your club or account.

## Sign in and disconnect

The connector signs in with your TryoutSheet account through the usual login page; ChatGPT and Claude never see your password. Each connection works like a signed-in device: remove the connector in ChatGPT or Claude, or [sign out everywhere](https://tryoutsheet.com/connect) to cut off every connection at once. ## Questions

### Is TryoutSheet in the ChatGPT or Claude app directory?

Not yet. Add it by URL as a custom connector for now.

### Does it work without signal at the field?

No. Chat needs a connection. For fields without signal, score in the TryoutSheet app, which works offline and syncs later.

### Can two coaches score the same station?

Yes. Each coach’s ratings are their own, and the rankings average them, as in the app. Nobody can change another evaluator’s scores.

### What does it cost?

The connector is part of TryoutSheet: it covers the same tryouts and players as your plan.
