Hudl’s club baseball plans cost $400 to $1,600 USD per team a year, priced by hours of stored video. If what you want is to stream and film games, GameChanger sells a Team Pass per season: $239 for unlimited live streams, $449 for full game video and highlight clipping. If the video you need is of tryouts, scored station by station, TryoutSheet or SkillShark do that job. Neither of them films games.

## The alternatives

### 1. GameChanger

**Best for:** Teams that want live streams, scoring and game video for a season · **Price:** $239 (Plus) or $449 (Premium) USD per team per season

GameChanger’s Team Pass is bought once a season by the team staff and covers everyone who follows the team. Plus has unlimited live streams, live play-by-play, box scores, GameStream Radio and recap stories; Premium adds season stats, spray charts, full event videos and highlight clipping. Its pricing page lists no tryout or evaluation tools, and it doesn’t describe recruiting profiles the way Hudl does.

### 2. TryoutSheet

**Best for:** Baseball and softball coaches whose video is for picking the team · **Price:** Free for one tryout of 25 players; above that, a per-team season plan that isn’t priced yet (email to be set up)

TryoutSheet doesn’t film games. It films tryouts: each clip is tied to a player, a station and a rep, sits next to that rep’s rating or radar number, and stays on the player’s profile with the family’s consent. Clips of players who aren’t selected are deleted after the club’s window (30 days unless the club changes it) unless the family keeps them. It has no streaming, game film or stats.

### 3. SkillShark

**Best for:** Clubs in several sports that evaluate players and want video on the scoring app · **Price:** Free for 25 players and one event; $5 to $15 USD per athlete a year

SkillShark is an evaluation app: its App Store listing says evaluators can take videos while they score, and the All-Star plan ($10 per athlete a year) shows them across events in Score Overview. Like TryoutSheet, it’s for evaluating players, not filming games.

## Who should stay with Hudl

- Teams that need many hours of game film, with every stat tagged by Hudl Assist (an add-on on Bronze, Silver and Gold).
- Players and coaches who use Hudl’s highlight and recruiting profile tools, college search and recruiter messaging.
- Clubs that want automatic livestreams from Hudl Focus cameras.

## Questions

### How much does Hudl cost for a baseball team?

Its club baseball page lists Bronze at $400 USD per team a year (50 hours of video), Silver at $1,000 (100 hours) and Gold at $1,600 (200 hours). A club-wide package is priced on request.

### Is GameChanger cheaper than Hudl?

GameChanger’s Team Pass is $239 (Plus) or $449 (Premium) per team per season; Hudl Bronze is $400 per team a year. They include different things: GameChanger centres on live scoring and streams, Hudl on stored video hours, highlights and recruiting tools.

### Can I use TryoutSheet instead of Hudl?

Not for games. TryoutSheet records short clips at tryout stations and keeps them on each player’s profile; it has no game film, streaming or stats. Many teams would use it to pick the team and something else for games.
